Zevenhuizen is an authentic village right in the center of Zuid-Holland and counts about 7500 residents. This number is growing seeing as there’s more development than ever before. This charming village has several historical buildings that have gained monumental status. Zevenhuizen was born in the Koornmolengat. There used to be seven farms, which is where the town owes its name Zevenhuizen (‘seven houses’) to. Fun fact: Leisure Park De Koornmolen is situated in the same place where the seven farms used to be located. The town was moved and there’s plenty to do. Zevenhuizen has a supermarket and many food options (see activities). The Dorpsstraat is cozy and charming. On the first Saturday of September, everybody comes out for the harvest festival. A must if you’re staying at De Koornmolen during this time! More than 30000 visitors come to visit this event every year. Besides music and a food court you can watch ancient trades while the kids partake in fun activities. Zevenhuizen is located about 2 kilometers from De Koornmolen.
